Technician Electrical Measurements
ENGIE Laborelec is a leading expertise and research centre in electrical power technology. Drawing on the skills of 240 highly specialised engineers and technicians, the company is active on the whole electricity value chain and backs a large set of customers in the fields of generation, transmission, distribution, storage and final use of electricity, with a particular focus upon the energy transition and the 3 D’s - decentralisation, decarbonisation and digitalisation.

Laborelec has a global presence, with activities in more than 60 countries and offices in Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Chile and Abu Dhabi.
 
We are currently looking for a Technician Electrical measurements for our Electrical Equipment Competence Center.
 
YOUR MISSION
- you carry out and manage electrical tests and metering operations on electrical equipment (cables, switchgear) and on large electrical machines (alternators, motors) within electrical power plants, distribution grids or for industrial clients
- you participate in the development of new metering methods or research projects in the laboratory
- you have contacts with the Maintenance responsibles within Engie power plants, with distribution grids and industrial clients
you have contacts with constructors of cables, electrical machinery and metering tool
 
QUALIFICATIONS
- you hold a bachelor degree in electronics or electromechanics (orientation energy or power systems), or an A2 technical diploma with equivalent experience
- you are Dutch or French speaking with a good knowledge of the second national language; a knowledge of English would be an asset
- you’re passionate about technology
- you have a good knowledge of basic IT applications (Microsoft Office)
- you have a team spirit and are capable of working on your own
- you are customer oriented, with good communication skills
- you have a drivers license
- you are flexible and mobile for missions within Belgium and abroad (particulary in Holland, France, Germany and Luxemburg
